Brent Anderson, CLU, ChFC

Brent R. Anderson, CLU, ChFC, is a Registered Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. and a licensed insurance agent (CA Insurance License #0404839). He is also the owner of Anderson Financial Solutions & Insurance Services. Brent's career in financial services began immediately after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCSB in 1970, and he has been a successful insurance professional for over five decades. Brent's journey into financial planning was deeply influenced by a personal tragedy during his high school years. While attending a drive-in movie, he received a call that his 53-year-old father had suddenly died of a heart attack. This loss thrust Brent into the role of head of the household, as his mother and younger brother were left to navigate the aftermath without a financial plan. The experience highlighted the importance of financial preparedness and motivated Brent to ensure that others would not face similar hardships. Brent postponed his college plans to stabilize his family. When he finally attended UC Santa Barbara, he purchased his first life insurance policy, naming his mother as the beneficiary—just in case. This experience highlighted the fragility of life and the importance of financial preparedness. Over the years, Brent has distinguished himself in the field. He serves as a Board member of the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council and is the President of the local barbershop harmony chapter. Brent is a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and an eight-time qualifying member of the prestigious Top of the Table.* He has also taught insurance classes, served as past President of the local Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council, and is a sought-after public speaker both locally and internationally. Brent has also served as President of the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) Alumni Association. Brent is married to Sue, and they have four children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Active in his community, Brent supports various local charities in advisory and fundraising roles. A passionate singer, he is a dedicated member of the local Barbershop Harmony chapter. Brent’s story of resilience and dedication underscores his commitment to helping others navigate complex financial landscapes and prepare for life’s uncertainties.
