Adam Smith
Adam Smith is a man of loyalty and trustworthiness, someone solid that others can depend on. As a Financial Advisor with over 23 years of experience helping clients preserve wealth, it was those very ideas of fidelity and steadfastness that Private Financial Counsel, LLC was built on.
“Maybe it was my experiences in scouting and the projects I undertook to rise to the level of Eagle Scout, that focused my life’s work on concepts of duty to God and country, duty to others, and duty to self. I try to live by an ethical, moral, and spiritual code, and I will always require my practice follow that code as well.”
Adam started his independent practice in 2006. He serves clients nationally. Early in his career, he passed the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 24 securities licensing exams. Adam is currently life and health insurance licensed in many states and has previously achieved the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation, as well as the Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC) designation.
Originally from the mid-west, Adam has lived in Florida with his wife of twenty-four years and his four children since 2003. A graduate of Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business, with a degree in finance and economics, Adam often points out that what he does for clients has been learned through experience, not classwork. An avid fisherman, SCUBA diver, alpine skier, college sports enthusiast, and wine aficionado, when Adam is not working to serve clients, his first love is for his family.
“The reality of investment management, and the rendering of quality financial advice, is that it is very much a craft that requires practice; it is not a science.”
