John P. Miller

Originally from Annapolis Maryland, John studied for his bachelor's degree at both Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida & The University of Central London in England. He graduated with both a degree in history and a minor in political science. During his summers while attending school, John gained experience in the financial services field through internships. Upon graduation John began his career at Smith Barney in Annapolis, getting experience in both operational and sales support. Passing the Series 7 and 66 exams, he was promoted to registered associate and shortly thereafter financial advisor. As a financial planner, the fulfillment in helping families navigate and setting a course of action to realize their financial goals led John to embrace holistic financial planning. In 2019, he met the Educational, Professional, and Ethical standards required to hold the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. John is a native of Annapolis, Maryland, where he grew up enjoying water activities like sailing and surfing. Having moved to Atlantic Beach Florida in 2017. As a resident of Jacksonville, John remains active in supporting various community organizations which include acting Trustee for the City of Atlantic Beach Police Officers' Pension Board, Foundation for Financial Planning, Flagler College Alumni Association, Southside Business Club, Surfrider Organization, and Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time John enjoys surfing and remaining active in Hannah State Park, cooking for friends and family, and regular trips back to Maryland to enjoy all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer.
