Voyage Partners Financial Strategies Co-founder and CEO Niles P. Geary, II is a seasoned financial professional with decades of experience in financial and insurance services. After years working in corporate finance as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a regional health insurance company, Niles decided to refocus his energy into personal finance as an Investment Advisory Representative for United Planners. He is currently both a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary.
Niles has always been passionate about finances, but he has found his greatest satisfaction in making his clients’ money work for them. He sees financial planning like sailing across an ocean: you must first lay out your starting point and your ultimate destination. Next, you determine what kind of ship and supplies you will need, what storms you might face, and how long your journey will take. Only then can you undertake the voyage itself with confidence.
Thus, his view of financial planning is to first set long-term strategic goals for his clients and then be ready to tactically respond to the always changing financial conditions they will encounter. To effectively “steer” a financial portfolio to its “destination” requires consistent monitoring and flexible decision-making. Niles partners with his clients to help them build robust financial portfolios that can weather even the severest storms.
Niles has a BA in Business Administration from Frostburg State University, (with an emphasis in Finance and Economics), an MBA from King College, and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. Niles enjoys traveling to beautiful beaches, scuba diving, playing tennis, visiting his ever-growing family and attending church. He and his wife, Brooke, live in Johnson City, Tennessee.
