Rick Mattson

Rick Mattson
Rick embarked on his insurance career in 2007 after tragedy struck his family. He saw firsthand how a lack of insurance and financial planning negatively impacted his loved ones. His brother died at the age of 43 - leaving behind a three-year-old daughter after being diagnosed with kidney and bone cancer. Rick’s mother was diagnosed with colon cancer within 1 month of his brother’s diagnoses. After successful surgery curing her colon cancer, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and has since passed. For over 20 years, he helped families in Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island obtain the American dream of home ownership as a loan officer for Wells Fargo and First Horizon Home Loans and as a manager for GMAC and Countrywide Home Loans. Rick is proud to be associated with Morin Associates, LLC as an advisor. Both share similar business philosophies based on traditional values. Helping clients with what’s most important to meet their insurance and needs and financial goals. We always put our clients’ needs and interests first. It’s clear to Rick’s clients that he truly cares about their welfare and their futures, which is why they refer so much business to him! During his interactions with people, it’s plain to see that this laid-back, jovial individual really enjoys his work – often driving his point home with an anecdote. Rick married his wife Alice in 1976 and resides in Uncasville. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. Rick enjoys spending time with his family and fishing. Sometimes referred to as a “gadget junkie,” he also likes to learn and use new technologies. Rick has served as a coach and equipment manager for both the Montville National Little League and the Montville Babe Ruth League. Rick is an Ambassador for the Eastern Chamber of Commerce, a Rotarian in the Montville Rotary and serves on the Board of Directors for Senior Resources in Norwich, CT.
