Blair Erwin

Blair was born and raised in Greenville, SC. He married his high school sweetheart and together they have two kids, a daughter (25), a son (14) and a one-year old grandson. He started his career in business as a restaurant owner in downtown Greenville and then a coffee shop near Greenville Tech’s University Center. Transitioning out of the restaurant business, he began a career in the financial services industry as a loan officer in 2004. He then moved into insurance in 2006 where he started working with retirees on their Medicare benefits and insurance needs. He has spent time working for some of the largest insurance companies in order to learn many different insurance specialties, like life insurance, disability, long term care, Medicare, group benefits, and home & auto. In 2016, he obtained his Series 7 and Series 66 and became a Financial Advisor and a Registered Investment Advisor. His career experience allows him to work with families to provide full financial protection, maximize their planning for retirement and help people transition into retirement efficiently. Blair advises on Group & Individual retirement benefits, income allocation planning and savings preservation. He started Headsail Financial Strategies in 2011 in order to be an Independent Advisor with insurance and investments. This allows him to work for the best interest of his clients and help them in all areas of Financial Planning. He has worked to become an expert within the industry and his holistic, process driven approach allows him to be a resource for his clients and provide top quality service.
