Joe Hillman
Joe Hillman is a Founder and Partner at Wellington Wealth Strategies. Prior to Wellington Wealth Strategies, Joe was a Partner and Co-Founder of TrustWealth Strategies after spending six years at WestPoint Financial Group. During his time at WestPoint, Joe was recognized several times for his success. He was in the Freshman Five as one of the top five first-year producers in the country, as well as a Blue Chip Council Producer for MassMutual twice in his tenure. Prior to joining WestPoint, Joe was the owner of M.E.D. Distribution for 15 years. Joe oversaw the day-to-day business of a spinal implant medical distribution company. This entrepreneurial experience aided Joe in combining his resources and experience with Greg Freeman to start TrustWealth Strategies. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate through the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Joe played basketball for Bob Knight, as well as baseball, and was a member of the 1987 NCAA Championship Team. He was captain of the 1989 Big Ten Championship Team and received the CoSIDA-GTE First Team Academic All-American award that year. Joe was drafted by the Oakland A’s where he spent two years playing professional baseball before pursuing professional basketball in Australia and England. Throughout his time at Indiana University, Joe was largely influenced by the widely known Bob Knight, who said himself that Joe was a born leader. Joe is married to Kris Hillman and has two beautiful children, Kara and Jack. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and cheering on his children in their sports.
